CHRISTINA VERCILLO

Biography

Christina Vercillo is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist with a deep passion for narrative in her work. Her creativity spans multiple mediums, each piece telling a unique story that engages emotions, sparks curiosity, and invites the viewer into a world of layered meaning. Christina’s work is driven by her belief that art is not just an image, but a story—one that unfolds with every glance and evolves with each interpretation.

Her latest exhibition, FEAR, showcased at GradEx 108 in 2023, was met with praise for its bold approach to exploring emotion and perception, offering a narrative that challenged the boundaries of traditional storytelling. Christina is captivated by the endless possibilities that storytelling in art provides, and she uses each piece as a way to invite others into her creative world.

A true collaborator, Christina finds joy in the shared experience of art, valuing the diverse interpretations that emerge through engagement with her work. For her, art is a conversation—a dialogue between the artist and the audience—where each story told becomes part of something larger and more collective.

When she’s not creating, Christina immerses herself in the perspectives that others bring to her work, constantly seeking new ways to deepen her understanding of the narratives she weaves and how they resonate with the world around her.
